Japandroids Announce Sophomore Album, Single and Tour Dates

Vancouver duo Japandroids have announced the follow-up to their 2009 debut Post-Nothing. The new album titled, Celebration Rock will be released on June 5th through Polyvinyl Record Co. and will be available on CD, LP and digital as well as limited edition  180-gram red vinyl available for pre-order at polyvinylrecords.com/celebrationrock.

Celebration Rock was recorded in Vancouver at The Hive with engineer Jesse Gander, who previously worked with the band on Post-Nothing.

The band will release the first single off the record On May 15th, ‘The House That Heaven Built’ as the 4th installment of their 7” series, which also features a B-Side cover of Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds’ track ‘Jack The Ripper’.

Starting mid-May, Japandroids will be touring in Europe and North America through mid-July.
