Nick Zinner From The Yeah Yeah Yeahs Remixes Chew Lips

Nick Zinner (of the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s) has given Chew Lips’ new single Do You Chew? the remix treatment. Zinner changes the vibes of Chew Lips’ new single by adding synths, giving it a marching band drum rhythm and stripping back lead singer Tigs’ vocal. To accompany the remix, Chew Lips have also assembled an alternative video which contains unseen footage.

Let’s Go Safari Release Debut Single

Let’s Go Safari are an indie pop duo from Poole, UK, who will be releasing their first single titled Oh, Jane Doe on May 9 as a digital download via Red Dragon Records. This is a simple, sing-a-long friendly track with soft, quirky vocal harmonies and happy 60s style synths.

Mothlite Announce Sophomore Album

Daniel O’Sullivan will release his second album under the Mothlite moniker, Dark Age, on May 14th via Kscope which is the follow-up to 2008’s The Flax Of Reverie. Listen to Zebras which is lifted from Dark Ages below.

MP3: Mothlite – Zebras

After recently working as a collaborator with Æthenor, Miracle and Grumbling Fur as well as his work as part of Ulver, O’Sullivan felt it was time to return Mothlite to work on something personal. O’Sullivan said, “All the other things are collaborations and there’s a communal interest, but with Mothlite the content is quite personal and to do with me. It’s quite easy to neglect, particularly when you’re in a bit of a shit storm as I was the past couple of years.”

The album was a chance for O’Sullivan to break free of the confines of genre, taking influence from Tears For Fears and Kate Bush through the industrial and gothic textures of DAF, The Cure, Coil and Dead Can Dance to the hardcore punk of his own roots.

Mothlite will showcase the new album on May 2 @ Tabernacle, London, UK w/ North Atlantic Oscillation.

She Makes War Announces New Album And Releases Video

She Makes War releases her sophomore album Little Battles on April 9th. The album was co-produced by She Makes War and Myles Clarke (Sparkadia, Kid Harpoon, Belakiss) during the summer 2011. Recorded around the corner from the Hackney riots, London’s tension is echoed throughout the album – it’s honest and vulnerable yet confident, all melancholy romance and hope for the future.

To accompany the album, She Makes War has released a video for the song ‘Exit Strategy’. She describes the video as “Ms Pacman is brought to life in this claustrophobic Groundhog Day meets horror flick”.

Watch the video for ‘Exit Strategy’ lifted from the album below.
